Next school year Wednesday Entrepreneurship Day, your kids will move into Graphic Design (.5 credit) and Web Design (.5 credit), Entrepreneurship 2 and Personal Finance (.5 credit). There will be some homework but mostly watching or reading.

We are launching a second day of Paladin in the fall an Academic Day. Next year we will be running from 8:30-9am drop off with pick up still by 3:30pm. We will be doing American Government (1 credit) and working to teach the kids how to write a bill to become a law (Ideally we will get a senator or state rep to submit this bill however if that doesn't come to fruition we will still be mock pushing it through with field trips to Jeff City. I'd also love a field trip to Springfield, IL to Abraham Lincoln's Museum.) I am printing out a few different American Government courses for high school however I know this hands on experience will be a game changer for the way they understand our government and our country's history. We will be doing American Sign Language as a foreign language (1 credit) and bringing in an instructor. We will also be doing Creative Writing (.5 credit) and Journalism (.5 credit) - we will be bringing in a magazine editor and working with a publishing company in Fenton and our goal is for each learner to create a magazine on a topic they care about. We intend to have each learner shoot their cover, use Indesign to design their magazine, write the articles (persuasive, creative, poetry, analytical writing, interview, storytelling and a data analysis article etc) and ideally also create ads for fake businesses for their magazines!
