Summer Camps 2024

1) 3 Day Creek Camp at Mastadon, Imperial Mo 9:00-12:00 May 21-23! We are bringing back creek camp and family style because... water ya'll! Microscopes, kayaking, spider webs, making boats, erosion and the power of water, freshwater animal scavenger hunt, creek viewers, rock hounding, the history of Mastodon, make a shelter, learning about snakes, water safety, make a fishing pole and go fishing, solar ovens and basic first aid! Plan on your kiddos wanting to eat lunch and play in the creek after camp! This camp is $75 PER FAMILY, this is not a drop off camp.

2) 4 Day Zoology camp at our STL Church in 63128, the dates are June 3-June 7 from 9am-12pm. We will be deep diving Raptors, Butterflies, Wolves & Reptiles! We will have field trips to The World Bird Sanctuary, The Butterfly House, The Wolf Sanctuary, The Tiger Sanctuary and Wild Adventures! These dates will be separate from the camp and will be sprinkled through out the summer! Our activities will include learning about owl eyesight, a bird beak game, building a butterfly house, creating resin butterfly jewelry and learning all about the Monarch Migration. We will also explore wolves sense of smell, learn about how they are able to live in cold temperatures, their impact in Yellowstone and a few crafts! We end our week with reptiles and deep dive snakes and why they don't freeze to death, make our own snake skin, and color changing slime to learn about cold blooded animals and warm blooded animals! It will be a vibrant week full of activities and fun! This is a drop off camp for kids 8 and up but an all ages camp! We will have programming for ages 5+ This camp is priced per child at $100 per camper and prek for $50 per child participating!

3) 4 Day Theater Camp June 3-June 7 1pm-4pm at our STL church in 63128. We will have the kids perform their play Thursday night at 6pm at the church! We will have improv games and name games, we will select our play and read through the lines and the kids will audition! Every kid who attends camp will get a spot! They will build their props and pick their costumes, learn about sets and run through their play and perform their play! This camp will have a $20 material fee per child and is $100 per child attending the camp! Kids 8 and up may be dropped off!

4) Messy Art Play - June 11-13 9:00am-12:00pm a STL Church 63128  These will be different than our previous classes in 2023. Messy Art will be MESSY! Please wear clothes that you don't care about! This is not a drop off camp and is family style at $75 per family!

5) Mixed Media 8+ June 11-13 9am-3pm at our STL Church 63128 - Mixed Media will be spray painting, gel pad printing, foil art, paint pouring, using Canva and Procreate to design and print their own stickers, button making, 3d pen, paper and glass mosaics! My goal is to have the 3d printer running that week as well! $200 per child attending, this is a drop off camp.

6) 1 Day Percy Jackson Camp June 18th 9am-3pm STL Church 63128! I asked the kids what they wanted and they begged for a mythology/Percy Jackson camp! Ask and you shall receive! The kids helped come up with activities today! So we are going to deep dive into all things Percy Jackson from designing their own goblet, to making blue ice cream, we are going to make our own armor and swords, play Percy Jackson trivia with questions the kids write, make bracelets (has to do with beads and the books), make Camp Half Blood shirts, Save Camp Half Blood Minute to Win It Games (all Percy Jackson themed), archery practice and anything else the kids come up with they want to do! This camp is $68 PER CHILD and drop off is available for kids 8+.

7) 1 Day Minecraft Camp June 28th 9am-3pm STL Church 63128 - This science, tech, art, engineering, mechanics camp will be such a highlight of your kiddo's summer! Your kids will kick off playing Creeper Tag, learn how to draw their favorite Minecraft characters, make LED paper torches, create block art, explode creepers with seltzer rockets, use the scorcher markers to burn wood designs, and we will end the day with using Lego's to rock out Minecraft building challenges! All ages drop off for ages 8 and up $68 per child!

8) 5 Day Paladin Camp July 8-July 12 9am-3pm STL Church 63128 - Oh man, Paladin has quickly become my favorite day of the week and I'm ecstatic to expand this little adventure even further with more kids! Teaching kids solution driven entrepreneurial mindset is deeply rooted in my soul! We will spend the 5 days helping the kids build their own chocolate company! They will name their company, learn about ideal buyers and pain points, create a logo, understand cost to profit ratio, make a chocolate product and name it! Your kids will also learn about propaganda and the way products are marketed to them. We will host a little chocolate taste testing event on Friday at 2pm before the camp ends at 3pm! We will also have a chocolate guru and a bakery owner come and speak to the kids about owning their companies and the in's and out's of chocolate and baking! This camp is $225 PER CHILD ages 10-16.

9) STEAM CAMP July 16-18 9am-3pm at our STL Church 63128 - If you've been too busy to make it to The Outlet, no worries we are bringing all of our favorite activities to this camp!! We will kick off the week with robotics, wiggle bots, the Sphero, Artie 3000, homemade propeller car, a wobble bot, and a brush bot! Your kids will squeal with delight as their bot's move around! The next day will be all about animation! We will use clay, lego's to create a stop motion animation - we are going to deep dive and teach the kids how to create a storyboard and sketch it out, how to leverage the onion skin, melt a snowman, lock down their camera, stick bots, and move mustaches and mouths for a lip sync that matches their voice to the movement of the mouth! We will build characters with wire and make a flip book! We hope to squeeze in Canva too to add in opening and closing credits as well as remove and add backdrops! The last day will be all about Simple Machines! We will make a pendulum, a catapult (their design), using a lever and fulcrum in to launch snowmen heads, nails vs screws, inclined planes, a zipline, diy bubble blowing machine and a Rube Goldberg Machine! This camp is $200 per child and for campers ages 5+, drop off available for ages 8+.

10) Upcycle Camp July 23-25 9am-3pm at our STL Church 63128 - I'm ecstatic about this camp! We will be hitting up the thrift shops between now and camp with specific projects in mind but also looking for loose parts for your kids to learn how key skills to flipping pieces! We will use saws, hammers, nails, screws, screwdrivers, paint, roll brushes, paint brushes, sandpaper, varnish, decoupage paper, sander, adhesives, spray paint, stencils, chalk paint and crackle paint! We will have the kids make their own clocks, we want each camper to flip a wooden piece (end table style), flipping a spoon rack into a jewelry holder and mugs into bird feeders. I'd love to teach the kids how to flip the fabric on a chair seat as well. Upcycling an old picture frame, candles in teacups, and we want a mix of the kids utilizing pieces and tools we have to create what they see and guidance on how to use the tools and materials at hand. This camp is $200 per child ages 9+ drop off available!
