Incredible Snakes!

Kids will create their own sculptural snakes using foil and plaster sheets, then paint them so they look like they’re swimming right across the canvas! The kids will love learning about different snakes from around the world!

They’ll shape a foil armature, wrap it in plaster strips to build a strong, textured form, and then bring their snake to life with paint. The goal is a dynamic piece where the snake appears to glide or swim across the surface — full of movement, color, and personality.

This hands-on class is perfect for kids who love building, sculpting, and turning simple materials into art. By the end of the session, every student leaves with a unique painted snake sculpture that looks ready to swim off the page.
